Heavenly Father, we come before You right now, exalting Your holy and magnificent name. Lord, You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. You see the end from the beginning, and You know the plans You have for us—plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us a hope and a future.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God of clarity and not of confusion. We thank You that You are our Comforter in times of loneliness and our Strength when we feel weak. We worship You because Your love is better than life, and Your presence is more satisfying than any human relationship could ever be.
Scripture-Based Declarations: Standing on the Word
Lord, Your Word says in Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” We declare right now that our hearts are guarded by the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
We stand on the promise of Psalm 147:3, that You “heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.” If there is a wound that is driving this urge to reach back to the past, Father, heal it right now by Your stripes!
Your Word promises in Isaiah 43:18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”

“I will not dwell in the past. I will not look back to what God has closed. I am looking forward to the new thing God is doing in my life!”

Father, I pray for my brother, I pray for my sister, who is holding their phone right now with a heavy heart. I pray against the spirit of loneliness that whispers lies in the dark. I pray against the spirit of nostalgia that only makes them remember the good times while blinding them to the reasons why You moved them away from that person.
Lord, give them the supernatural strength to put the phone down. Give them the wisdom to realize that a season has ended. If that door was closed by You, let no man—and no text message—open it again.
