Before you close your eyes tonight, you need to hear this: Nightmares are not just “bad dreams.” They are atmospheric disturbances meant to steal your rest and plant seeds of fear. But tonight, the King of Kings is standing guard over your bedroom. If you believe that God is your Protector, type “AMEN” in the comments right now to activate your faith!
Heavenly Father, we exalt You. You are the Elohim, the Creator of the stars and the Giver of sleep. We thank You that You never slumber nor sleep. Lord, we worship You because You are the Light that shatters every shadow. We thank You for the gift of rest, and we thank You that even now, Your Holy Spirit is moving through this screen, through this device, and into the very room where Your child is standing.
Lord, we give You glory because no power of darkness can stand against the brilliance of Your presence. We enter Your gates with thanksgiving, knowing that You have already won the victory over the night!
Your Word, O God, is our shield. Lord, Your Word says in Psalm 91:5, “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night.” We stand on that promise! We declare that because we dwell in the secret place of the Most High, we are exempt from the terrors of the darkness.
Lord, You said in Proverbs 3:24, “When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.” I speak those words over every person watching this. I speak “Sweet Sleep” over your mind, your soul, and your spirit. Say this with me: “My sleep shall be sweet!” Declare it again: “My sleep shall be sweet!”
Father, right now, in the mighty Name of Jesus, we address the root of these nightmares. We rebuke every spirit of fear, every shadow of anxiety, and every demonic assignment sent to disturb the rest of Your people.
We command every recurring dream of failure, death, or pursuit to be broken! By the blood of Jesus, we wipe clean the “canvas” of the mind. We pray for those who wake up exhausted—Lord, restore their strength. We pray for the parents watching this whose children are screaming in the night—we plead the Blood of Jesus over every nursery and every bedroom.
“No weapon formed against your sleep shall prosper!” (Isaiah 54:17). We cast down every imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
